The following have been reported as adverse events in clinical trials of patients treated with ondansetron, the active ingredient of ondansetron hydrochloride.

Pregnancy

  • ACE inhibitors can cause fetal and neonatal morbidity and death when administered to pregnant women.

Warnings

Your risk is also high when you restart birth control pills after not taking them for 4 weeks or longer.

Do not use 650 mg oral products in children.

Another member of this class, troglitazone or Rezulin, was removed from the market because of liver toxicity.
